Kelsey and Mel are such a wonderfully sweet couple and they had an absolutely gorgeous (although slightly warm :) ) day for their wedding in Temecula at the Falkner Winery. My favorite type of wedding is hands down the ones where the couple is clearly head over heels for each other and the families are all thrilled to be coming together, which is exactly how this wedding was! I also have to say that it can’t get much better than having a wedding in a gorgeous outdoor location at the “magic hour” when the light is golden and warm… and then having lots of time for fabulous portraits before the wedding. It’s like photographer heaven :) Here are a few of my favorites from the big day!

I love this shot of her mother putting on her necklace, so sweet!

And her maids looking fabulous as well!

I have to say that the moment before the ceremony right before the bride’s escort walks her down the aisle has to be one of the most magical times of the whole day! I feel so lucky that I get to capture special moments like these for my brides to remember the excitement they felt just before their big walk down the aisle!

After the ceremony it was on to the portraits… the bride and her ladies looking stunning in the warm afternoon glow :)

And the guys looking quite handsome as well!

Couples portraits… my favorite time of day!

Kelsey and Mel I enjoyed absolutely every second of your big day! Thank you so much for inviting me to be a part of this special time in your lives. I wish you all of the best in the future!

As the photographer at the vast majority of weddings that I attend I’m not really used to seeing myself in photos. At Sunday’s wedding the father of the bride, Dan Mitchell (check out his work here) just happened to be quite a talented photographer himself and he managed to sneak in a couple of shots of me and my lovely husband (aka second shooter) in action. Check out the gorgeous surroundings. With a location and lighting like this how could you go wrong?!

And just for fun here’s the shot that I was busy capturing while Dan was taking his shot

On Sunday I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of the incredibly sweet Kelsey and Mel. They are such a genuine and loving couple and I had an absolute blast working with them, despite the heat wave sweeping southern California :)

I know how excited my couples always are to see their photos after their session so I thought I’d throw out a little teaser for these two. You are going to love all of your images, but you’re just going to have to wait a few more days to see them ;) For now here are two of my favorites, enjoy!
