Ok I have been a terrible blogger (sorry!) where have I been you ask?

Well I’m glad you asked because I have been BUSY! My little sister’s getting married in just two and half more weeks (hip hip hooray!) so between that, father’s day, our recent trip to Kansas to visit family AND a massive amount of wedding album design sitting on my plate at home I have been swamped! I hope you’ll forgive me!

I have lots of fun things to blog coming up very soon but for now how about I join the 21st century with a Facebook page? I know I know I’m SO BEHIND in not having one already, but come on… I have twins… cut me a break So I finally got around to starting one up this morning and poor little old me has only one fan (myself, how sad is that?!) so please go visit my Facebook page and become a fan? And because I was out of town for Father’s Day I didn’t get a chance to post and proclaim that Ben is the best father ever (which he is) here’s a belated thank you and picture of superdad in action. Ben you’re the best. I love you and so do the peanuts I hope you had a wonderful first Father’s Day!

Laura & Ezequiel {Married!}

Laura and Ezequiel were married on a gorgeous Southern California Saturday at Verandas in Manhattan Beach. The day was beautiful, the flowers were beautiful, the couple was beautiful… it was pretty much beautiful all around This post is a little bit later than I usually blog my weddings so to make up for it I’m going to post a ridiculously huge number of images… hope you enjoy!

Let’s start it off with some shots of Laura’s amazing and unique dress… I’ve never seen one like it and I LOVED it!

I have to preface this one… I catch a lot of priceless expressions and funny moments while I’m out shooting a wedding. Most of the time I don’t put them on the blog because I know you want to see the pretty details and the fab portraits… but this one was just too good to pass up. This particular face was directed at the flower girl…

The bride is a twin sister (twice the gorgeousness) and it was so fun for me to see how close they are. Having twins myself makes me so excited to see “grown up” twins!

The ceremony was gorgeous in the garden at Verandas

After the ceremony we walked around for a few minutes to get some couples portraits in Manhattan Beach

Laura’s sister gave such a sweet and heartfelt toast

They played a slideshow during the reception of photos of Laura and Ezequiel growing up. Not sure what this one was of but Laura sure thought it was funny

And one last set… this had to have been one of the most amazingly talented group of dancing wedding guests I’ve ever seen. Seriously. They had a band and the whole crowd was on the floor all night… sweet!

Laura and Ezequiel I had an amazing time at your wedding. Thank you so much for inviting me to be a part of your special day! I hope you have a fabulous time on your Hawaiian honeymoon! Thanks to David too for coming along and helping me out

I’ve been hacked!!

I was called and emailed by a few good friends and clients (thank you guys!! ) letting me know that when they visited my site it was doing something fishy with their computer. I quickly got on the phone with my webhosting company and it looks like we’ve gotten it figured out. They did a sweep of my server and it should be all fixed up. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me know if you ever see anything funky or fishy going on with my site that I need to know about it. I obviously want to get things like this cleared up as fast as possible to keep bad things from spreading to my fab clients!

Hopefully this clears up any trouble any of you may have been having due to the crummy infection on my site… and hopefully it stays away in the future! A new look for a new year!

Happy new year everyone! 2008 was quite a ride… pregnancy, new twins, lots and lots of fabulous weddings and fabulous clients! What can I say? It was a blast! Website Offline…. Saturday & Sunday

I have recently been notified by my web host that my server is going to be moving to a newer and fancier home over the next few days. The new facility should make my website even more stable and quick loading than ever, and I’m hoping that everything goes smoothly

That is the good news. The bad news is that to move the server they may need to take my website offline for somewhere between 24 and 48 hours… I’ve been told that between midnight tonight and midnight Sunday there is the possibility that when you go to my site (or this very blog you’re reading now) that they will be MIA….

if the site does in fact disappear it should be only a temporary situation and by Monday and we’ll be back to business as usual Thanks for your understanding during this brief interruption. Also… please refrain from sending me email while the downtime is going on… I’m not 100% sure if they would eventually make their way to me or not… but I’d rather not risk it! Everything should be back to normal on Monday… Thanks!!

Well after a hectic afternoon it appears that the email contact form issue has been resolved. I sent a couple of test emails to myself (don’t laugh, it was the only way!) and they seem to have gone through so I’m going to trust that it’s working again. If you did happen to send me an email and not get a response, please do feel free to resend it. I won’t mind, I love email

And just to prove that I do have more posts coming… here is a sneak peak from my Dallas weekend extravaganza post. Hopefully to be uploaded tomorrow. This is my sister and her boyfriend…. awww how cute!

Contact Email Issues!

It has come to my attention that the contact me page on my website is not working properly. I hadn’t noticed because my email address IS still working, so if you have been sending me email the old fashioned way (using your email client instead of the contact form) I have received (and most likely responded to) your emails. It is only the emails coming FROM THE WEBSITE that aren’t working.

I’m not sure how long this has been going on, and I am SO SORRY for the inconvenience. If you have sent me an email in the last couple of days and you haven’t gotten a response, it’s probably because I never got the message! I will obviously get this straightened out right away!

In the meantime, if you need to get in touch with me please send all email to info@katyregnier.com and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Sorry for the trouble and thank you for your patience! I’ll let you know when this is all worked out.

out of the office

I can’t believe it’s already the end of October which means it’s already time for my awesome European vacation! Ben and I have been looking forward to this trip for over a year… we got engaged while we were living in Paris back in 2005 and haven’t been back since. We’ll be gone until November 11th, which means I’ll have spotty internet and non-existent phone service for a couple of weeks. If you do need to get in touch with me please send me an email and I’ll do my best to get back to them as quickly as possible. I’m also going to shooting a couple of portrait sessions while we’re away and on our quick stopover in New York coming home so look out for those as well.
