Sneak peek – Jessica + bump {Los Angeles maternity photography}

I know I *just* posted a sneak peek of Jenny and Jeremy’s wedding and I owe you a full blog post on that… but I just couldn’t resist one itty bitty sneak peek from a maternity session I did this afternoon. Jessica is one of the most beautiful pregnant women I’ve ever seen. She’s just glowing head to toe. She’s also due in less than two weeks, which is just amazing. She looks fabulous!

Paul & Neda {engaged!}

I cannot tell you how much I absolutely love all of these images. Paul and Neda are two of my favorite people of all time. Paul is one of Ben’s best best friends from way back when and Neda is his super awesome fiance. They live in Texas but came out to pay us a visit and I was over the moon when they asked me to take some engagement photos for them. I was secretly hoping I might be able to take one or two but to have them ask me to do a whole session?! YAY!

We headed out to one of my favorite beachy spots just in time for sunset and with all of the beautiful southern California wildflowers in bloom. Photographer heaven! I had so much fun and I just love that their happiness is spilling out of each and every one of these. I feel like I can hear them laughing just by looking at the pictures. Here are a few of my favorites.

Sneak Peek: Alison & Branko {engaged!}

I cannot get enough of this couple or their engagement session. If it were possible for me to marry an engagement session I would choose this one. Well of course there are a few problems with that – first off I’m already married (hi Ben!) and second I don’t think you can marry a photo shoot – but you get the idea. I LOVE these images and I loved working with this couple. They were an absolute blast. Normally my sneak peeks are only one or two images but this one is going to be 3 because I just couldn’t choose. More soon.

I posted the teasers of this family and never the session. Things are crazy around here are it will be revealed why in just a few weeks (I hope) but for the time being… a new blog post (it’s been a while I know!)

This family is so amazing I don’t even know where to start. Not only do they have a set of twins (and do I ever know how much work that can be!) but they also have another baby who is only one year younger than their twins. Yes, that’s right. One year younger. This supermom is raising three kids under the age of two (well to be fair the twins JUST turned two, happy birthday boys!) I can’t believe it! She’s my hero! And not only is this family unbelievably cute, they are just so HAPPY too! All three boys were nothing but smiles the whole session. It makes my day to see a family so full of joy

Are they not the sweetest and smiliest and most amazing little boys you’ve ever seen?! It was SUCH a pleasure meeting and working with your amazing family!

The Wonders {Family Portraits}

The Wonders family is Cute with a capital C. I am lucky enough to have worked with the very talented Jackie Wonders on a few of my weddings and I was so happy to get a chance to meet up with her and her adorable family over my winter vacation. Emery is pretty much the cutest 2 1/2 year old ever and she certainly has a mind of her own (and quite the personality as well) It makes me both excited and terrified for when my own kids get that old

We mostly met up for a chat and some catching up but we also did a quick portrait session as well. Here are a few of my favorites – enjoy!

My blog posts lately have been shamefully few and far between. Blame it on the crazy busy season or the holidays or the fact that my children went bananas with the time change… in any case I owe you a LOT of blogging… and it will be coming soon! Sneak Peek: Amanda & Steve {Engaged!}

Remember that contest I had a few months back… the “Spread the Love Giveaway“… well you didn’t think I went and forgot about the couple who won now, did you?! Things have been so crazy busy in the last few months that scheduling a shoot has been nearly impossible. Luckily this weekend was the perfect combination of a free day for me (hooray!) and a free weekend for Amanda and Steve. I was so ridiculously excited for their retro shoot and I was not disappointed! You will not be able to get enough of this couple once you see them. Just one sneaky little peek for now…

Baby Charlotte {Newborn}

Whew… it feels like it’s been forever since I’ve blogged! Don’t be mad… I’m just so ridiculously busy it’s insane! I have been out of town EVERY WEEKEND this month and I’m going to be out of town AGAIN this weekend shooting another wedding. I’m exhausted just thinking about all the traveling I’ve been doing! The most exciting trip by far was the one we just got home from… a super quick hop over to Kansas to visit Ben’s sister Kate and her husband Jon. They just had a brand new baby girl Charlotte, which means I’m an aunt! I know I’m already a mom but there’s something totally different and exciting about being an aunt. Maybe it’s the fact that I can play with and ooh and ah over how adorable she is, but the poopy diapers aren’t my responsibility

Since she was only a week and a half old when we visited I was able to take some awake shots AND some darling sleepy newborn shots of her. I just love them! Here are my favorites (although it was SO hard to pick, she’s the second cutest baby girl ever)

When I first started shooting she was so wide awake and curious. Don’t you just love her eyes?!

I love this look she’s giving her momma… sigh. She’s soooo cute!

After a little milk break she decided to get sleepy and I love these ones!

Kate and Jon CONGRATS! I couldn’t be happier, honestly! I love your little baby girl and I am so happy to finally have gotten a chance to meet her! Yay for baby cousins!
