Nick and Emma are fabulous. That’s just all there is to it Emma is one of my sister’s best friends and roommates from college so when she emailed me to ask if I would be their wedding photographer I waited about one nanosecond before responding OF COURSE!! I am so ridiculously excited for their wedding up in a vineyard in northern California (can you say scenic?!) and I know it’s going to be just amazing. The lovely couple came down to southern California for my little sister’s bridal shower (more on that soon!) and so we scheduled their engagement session for the same trip to save them a flight Emma wanted their shoot to be in a more natural location and when she asked if it could be in a flower field I was unbelievably excited about the idea. We get these amazing yellow wildflowers every year that just cover the hillsides and I’ve been dying to shoot an engagement session in one for ages! I scouted out this location up in Malibu a few weeks ago and I was so glad to hear that they were up for my plan of lugging a dining room chair into the field for the shoot I just can’t get enough of this session so you’re gonna see quite a few of my favorites, lucky you!

In case you missed the post a few days ago, Ben and I had a family photo shoot with Jackie last weekend and are so excited about our new family portraits! I loved the teasers she posted on her blog but she put up EVEN MORE photos yesterday… so in case you just can’t get enough of my adorable twins, go check her blog

Yesterday was my first wedding of the year and man oh man was I excited to shoot it! I LOVE my job and I LOVE weddings and I was going a little crazy from having been out of the game for so long. Eugene and Bodana were married at the St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort and it was an absolutely gorgeous wedding on a perfect southern California afternoon. Thanks so much to Josef Isayo for inviting me along to shoot with him, I couldn’t imagine a more beautiful wedding or beautiful couple to start out the season with Here are a few of my favorites… get ready for gorgeousness!!

There wasn’t much time after the ceremony so they opted for a “first look” to see each other and get some portraits beforehand. I love this shot because she looks so excited and so ready to get married

I know there have been a lot of baby posts around here lately Don’t worry my first wedding of the season is coming up tomorrow (!!) and then they’re bumper to bumper for a few months so there will be lots of wedding goodness coming your way! For the moment take a peek at this sweet shot (have you ever seen such good lookin’ kiddos?!). I am having the lovely and talented Jackie of Jackie Wonders Photography shoot a few of my spring weddings with me so I decided as long as we were meeting up to go over some wedding/shooting details we might as well take a few snaps of me + Ben + babies since we still didn’t have any family photos. She just posted this one last night and I Love with a capital L this shot! There is another one on her blog if you want to check it out, but this one just brought a smile to my face!
