Melyssa and Jeff had a super fabulous wedding in San Diego at the Mission Bay womens’ club on Saturday. They were such a great couple to work with and it was an absolute dream to photograph them and their whole family. I can’t wait to post more images but for now two of my favorites!
Can you say gorgeous bride?

And how about a handsome groom to go with her? They make such a stunning couple!

Melyssa and Jeff I hope you’re enjoying your honeymoon in Belize! There will be plenty more images waiting for you when you get back
I’m back in the office after a relaxing week with family. I’ll be putting up a few of my favorites from our family reunion in the next day or so… but I just couldn’t resist sharing this one as soon as I saw it. I think my sister in law might have the second cutest dog I’ve ever seen (second only to my own of course
)

Just a super quick post to let you know that I am out of town from today until Wednesday of next week. I won’t have any cell phone access and I’ll only have very limited internet service so please be patient and I’ll get back to you as soon as I return!
Have a fabulous week (and weekend!) and don’t forget to check out the new engagement photo post below
I have known Erin for years and years since she is the sister of one of my good friends, and I was SO excited when I found out she was getting married! I was even more excited when I found out that I was going to be able to shoot her wedding for her in April because I know it’s going to be absolutely fabulous! Erin works in the wedding “biz” and has fantastic taste so I know it’s going to be a gorgeous event! Erin and Darrin wanted to take their engagement photos early, before I get super hugely pregnant
so we met up in downtown Carlsbad (that’s just north of San Diego for you non-local folks) for their session last weekend. We had a great time and they were total naturals in front of the camera! They wanted a couple of photos down by the beach as well so we finished up the afternoon on the sand. These two are so darn cute together that it was hard to pick favorites, but here are a few of the standouts from our time together… enjoy!
See… I told you these two were cute and total naturals in front of the camera
Such great smiles on both of them!
This next one is one of my favorites! Love it!
The beach was a bit overcast which can lead to less than spectacular sunsets, but we made do with a bit of added lighting. I actually really like how these turned out!
Another favorite! What a good lookin’ couple
Erin and Darrin I had such a great time with you two and I absolutely cannot wait for your wedding. I know it’s going to be spectactular! Good luck with all the planning and see you in April
Kelsey and Mel are such a wonderfully sweet couple and they had an absolutely gorgeous (although slightly warm
) day for their wedding in Temecula at the Falkner Winery. My favorite type of wedding is hands down the ones where the couple is clearly head over heels for each other and the families are all thrilled to be coming together, which is exactly how this wedding was! I also have to say that it can’t get much better than having a wedding in a gorgeous outdoor location at the “magic hour” when the light is golden and warm… and then having lots of time for fabulous portraits before the wedding. It’s like photographer heaven
Here are a few of my favorites from the big day!
Kelsey getting her fabulous makeup done…
I love this shot of her mother putting on her necklace, so sweet!
The gorgeous bride all ready to go
And her maids looking fabulous as well!
I have to say that the moment before the ceremony right before the bride’s escort walks her down the aisle has to be one of the most magical times of the whole day! I feel so lucky that I get to capture special moments like these for my brides to remember the excitement they felt just before their big walk down the aisle!
After the ceremony it was on to the portraits… the bride and her ladies looking stunning in the warm afternoon glow
And the guys looking quite handsome as well!
Couples portraits… my favorite time of day!
The first dance as husband and wife… awwww
And what wedding would be complete without a ring shot?
Kelsey and Mel I enjoyed absolutely every second of your big day! Thank you so much for inviting me to be a part of this special time in your lives. I wish you all of the best in the future!
