Jennifer and Tim are a fabulous couple and I absolutely love working with them! I think it’s impossible to take a bad photo of Jennifer, and Tim’s not so bad either
They had an afternoon wedding at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Arcadia which has some gorgeous stained glass windows and a fabulous courtyard as well. I absolutely loved the color scheme (I think I’m a sucker for bright colors since that’s what we had at our own wedding) and her flowers were so vibrant and gorgeous they just popped right out of every image! It was a very relaxed day and I was so happy to be a part of it. A super huge thanks to Sandy from Aquafuzion for putting everything together and ensuring that the day ran flawlessly! I already posted a few teaser photos a while back but here are even more… I had to stop myself from over-posting, which is one of the hazards of blogging a beautiful couple in a great location

See what I mean about Jennifer being gorgeous? You can’t take a bad photo of this bride!
And of course the handsome groom
I loved this cake! It was seamlessly smooth, covered in lovely orchids, plus it was absolutely DELICIOUS! Yum
And to finish off the set a few portraits…. I do love wedding day portraits!
Just a super quick post to let you know that Ben and I are on a much needed vacation visiting friends in San Francisco for the weekend! I will be back in the office on Tuesday with more photos posts as well as answering emails when I return. Thanks so much for your patience and enjoy your holiday weekend! :)
For now here is one photo from yesterday’s dinner…. nothing better than making a delicious dinner with friends on vacation!

I met up with Kelsey and Mel last week for their engagement session in Balboa Park. They wanted to do something fun and I love the zoo so I was thrilled when they went along with the suggestion to start out there! We met up at the zoo on a fabulous San Diego afternoon and spent lots of time wandering around and chatting before we started on the “official business” of photographing the couple. Mel was a bit shy so the extra time to get to know each other really helped out! I love spending time with a couple and seeing them get more and more relaxed as the day goes by… Mel I hope you hold Kelsey to your deal and make her take you out for a fabulous meal for being such a good sport in front of the camera
I had a great time with these two… here are just a couple of my favorites from their session!
Sorry guys but I just couldn’t resist putting this one on the blog… embarrassing but fun
Here’s a much sweeter one to make up for it… this is one of my favorites!
After the zoo we headed out to the cactus garden for a few photos… this obviously isn’t a cactus but I still love this shot!
And after the cactus garden it was off to the main part of Balboa Park to finish up the session… a few of my favorites from that area
Kelsey and Mel thank you so much for being such great sports even though I know you don’t *love* being in front of the camera
I am in the middle of a record-breakingly busy week this week… family in from out of town, graduations, and all sorts of general hoopla… but I absolutely could not bear to go another day without posting a few teaser images from the beautiful wedding that I photographed on Saturday. You may remember Jennifer & Tim from their Santa Monica engagement session. I love this couple for how easy going and relaxed they are, and of course how easy they make my job
These two had an amazing wedding and I can’t wait to post a full set of their images… but for now a few of the necessities:
A gorgeous bride… check!
Fabulous flowers… check!
And a happy couple strolling into the sunset… check!
What more could you ask for? Jennifer and Tim I can’t wait to show you more of your wedding photos… sit tight because they’re coming soon
Rocio and Rob are such a sweet couple and so much fun to hang out with!! They wanted to do a beach engagement session and I wanted to try out a new location so we decided to meet in Manhattan Beach. I love that it’s smaller, cozier and less crowded than Santa Monica, plus we had a gorgeous day for hitting the beach! Rocio and Rob warmed up right away to the camera and we had so much fun wandering around the beach and the pier. Here are just a few of my favorites from their session ![]()

I just love the underside of piers… call me crazy but there’s something so fabulous about a gorgeous couple in the midst of all of the columns with the light streaming in… I just can’t get enough
The beach around the pier has so many fun patterned and colorful walls to shoot in front of… I definitely want to go back again!
After wandering the beach we headed back up to the cute little “downtown” area and had a quick outfit change for the rest of the session. I love this series… Rocio’s shirt was so cute and I love them against this pink wall!
This is a definite favorite
You know I love a couple in converse sneakers!
Rocio and Rob thank you so much for making the trip down to Manhattan Beach for your engagement session! You two were such a blast to hang out with and I had so much fun going through all of your photos… I can’t wait to show you the rest
