Has it really been that long since I updated my blog?!
I know you’re all waiting for new and exciting posts and I just have to tell you that they ARE coming! I have a new engagement, family session, AND wedding to post in the next few days, I just have to get the finishing touches on the photos and they’ll be right up
So stay tuned in the next few days… many fun and fabulous things to come, I promise!
Sarah and Tony had an amazing wedding this weekend at Leo Carillo Ranch! Absolutely everything (especially Sarah) was gorgeous and so put together! It was a really hot day (especially for April!) but everyone handled the heat beautifully and it turned out to be a perfect night for an outdoor reception! I had such a hard time picking photos for this post because everything was SO beautiful
Even the getting ready room was gorgeous and with some lovely window light…. just fabulous!
First up some of the getting ready details…. shoe shot of course ![]()
Sarah’s gorgeous dress… I loved it!
With some of the bridesmaids… such a good looking bunch!
I know I always rave about the flowers but check these out… so gorgeous! They were done by Sarah’s super talented sister, my friend Chelsea. She did an amazing job!
I was lucky enough to have my fabulous husband along with me for the day shooting and he went with the guys to get ready. The groomsmen gifts were custom baseball bats, very cool. I think I’m lucky that Ben was there and not me… I might be a bit intimidated by a room full of guys in suits with baseball bats
The groomsmen all wanted a shot with the cantina sign… I think I know which is the wild side of the family
I love this shot of Sarah and her dad walking towards the aisle… someone looks happy to be getting married!!
And of course a couple of fabulous portraits… I just couldn’t believe how absolutely fabulous Sarah looked! Did I mention how put together and awesome she was?!
The first dance…
and the father daughter dance
Sarah made this awesome cake stand for her many kinds of super delicious cheesecake…. YUM!!
And what’s a wedding blog post without a ring shot? They had some pretty fabulous and unique rings as well!
Laura and Nate are such a relaxed couple I knew that their wedding day would run smoothly and that it would be all about their love and the excitement of their new marriage. They had a casual daytime wedding at St. Matthews church with their friends and family, followed by an equally casual afternoon reception. It was a beautiful day in Southern California, perfect for an outdoor reception and a wonderful day for getting married
I was so happy to have my friend Erika along with me to help document their big day, thanks so much for coming down to help out!
First up for the photos…. a few getting ready details. Laura wore a pair of her grandmother’s earrings and a vintage veil…
She also had a gorgeous and unique vintage 1950′s dress that she found online. I couldn’t believe how perfectly it fit her.. it was like it was made for her!
Getting the final touches… adding the veil!
Laura has amazing taste in flowers… check out the gorgeous orchids!
A little fun with the bridesmaids before the ceremony…
The handsome groom looking all ready to go!
With the boys…
And the one of the little attendants as well
The church was beautiful on the inside and the ceremony was complete with some gorgeous instrumental and vocal performances. Something about the inside of churches just makes all music sound that much sweeter!
Once the ceremony was over I think everyone was a little bit relieved… and definitely a bit livelier
Laura and Nate asked if they could take a few of their portraits on the playground… and who am I to say no?! These were so much fun!
We also got a few of the “standard” shots as well… just to be safe
After the reception they made their getaway into a sweet vintage Ford… I think Laura was glad to be a married woman on her way to her honeymoon!
Well you may have noticed that I have been sadly behind on my blogging! I can’t believe that almost two weeks have gone by without anything new and exciting for you to view
I have a lot of new shoots coming up (plus a few more to blog) but for now have just a little bitty sneak peek of a fabulous wedding I shot with my friend Kara Frans at the Inn of the Seventh Ray. What a gorgeous bride and a gorgeous location, Regan and Dave’s day was fabulous and I can’t wait to show you more!
